About
Buddy Cazee
Hello. My name is Buddy Cazee. I am the Owner and Head Luthier of Mulberry Street Guitars. Mulberry Street Guitars is currently a 2 person family business. Together with my wife, Michelle Cazee, we produce a limited number of guitars each year. This allows us to focus on the details and quality to ensure that our customers have the gratification and delight that only an instrument that fits that person on an individual level can bring. Michelle brings an artistic touch to the designs as she has been an artist in a number of different mediums.
At Mulberry Street Guitars, we will be offering a number of different services including manufacture of world class instruments as well as a full service repair shop to help maintain all of those instruments which, as an artist, are so loved and adored.
As with any Luthier, I am on the never ending journey for the perfect balance of tone and feel. This challenge of perfection is what drives us all. It is what will keep me going until the end of my days.
Follow your passion:
I have had a love of woodworking since I was a young man. I have spent much of my adult life honing my craft and expanding my skill set. The pride of building something with your hands that you can touch and feel which brings joy to another person is something that I love. I have also had a love of musical instruments for my entire adult life. It only made sense that I would marry these passions to build instruments. I spent many years doing research on what makes each instrument special including materials, design of the instrument, and other techniques that affect instrument performance. There came a time when I decided it was time to take the next step in my journey, so I attended the world famous Galloup School of Lutherie led by Bryan Galloup, the foremost expert on guitar tone. Upon graduation, I decided to start planning and implementing my own studio to start the next leg of my journey.
As with any Luthier, I am on the never ending journey for the perfect balance of tone and feel. This challenge of perfection is what drives us all. It is what will keep me going until the end of my days.
We want to focus on the one on one experience that exists between a person and their instrument. Our goal is to provide you with an instrument that makes that connection.
I am sure that you have questions regarding the process, so….
